ARLEK Setup Guide
Before you begin
ARLEK connects to your phone via Bluetooth and uses your phone's built-in Emergency SOS features.

Using ARLEK
Pull-pin alarm
Pulling the pin activates:
- 130 dB siren
- Flashing emergency light
- Emergency SOS call (when setup and connected)
Silent SOS
In some situations, an audible alarm may not be the right approach. Silent SOS lets you trigger Emergency SOS discreetly without sounding the alarm.
Press the side button on the ARLEK device 5 times rapidly to trigger silent SOS.
Flashlight
Press the side button on the ARLEK device to cycle through flashlight modes.
Bluetooth connection sound
The ARLEK device may emit a short chirp sound when reconnecting to your phone via Bluetooth. This is normal.

iPhone Setup
Bluetooth Connection
1. Go to your phone's settings and enable Bluetooth.
2. Press and hold the side button on your ARLEK until you hear a beep. ARLEK is now visible.
3. In your phone's Bluetooth list, look for SOS Personal Alarm and tap to connect.
SOS Settings (iPhone)
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Emergency SOS.
3. Turn on Call with 5 Button Presses.
Note: ARLEK works best when Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. It uses your phone's native Emergency SOS system (no app needed). It works internationally and dials the local emergency number for the country you're in.
Add your Emergency Contacts
1. Open the Health app.
2. Tap your profile icon (top right).
3. Tap Medical ID.
4. Tap Edit (top right).
5. Scroll down to Emergency Contacts.
6. Tap Add Emergency Contact.
7. Select a contact and choose their relationship (e.g. partner, mother, friend).
8. Repeat for additional contacts.
9. Tap Done to save.
What Happens When SOS is activated
1. A short countdown begins (this prevents accidental triggers). You can easily cancel by swiping Cancel on your phone screen during the countdown.
2. After the countdown finishes, your phone automatically calls emergency services.
3. Once the call connects, your phone sends a text message to your emergency contacts.
4. The message alerts them and shares your precise live location with a map link. Your location continues to update in real-time.
Android Setup
Bluetooth Connection
1. Go to your phone's settings and enable Bluetooth.
2. Press and hold the side button on your ARLEK until you hear a beep. ARLEK is now visible.
3. In your phone's Bluetooth list, look for SOS Personal Alarm and tap to connect.
SOS Settings (Android)
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Safety & Emergency (Note: On some phones like Samsung it may be under Advanced Features → Send SOS Messages).
3. Turn on Emergency SOS.
Add Emergency Contacts (Android)
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Safety & Emergency (or search for Emergency contacts).
3. Tap Emergency Contacts.
4. Tap Add Contact (or the + icon).
5. Select a contact from your list.
6. Repeat to add more contacts.
7. Tap Save.
What Happens When SOS is activated
1. After the short countdown, your phone automatically calls the emergency number.
2. An automatic text message is sent to your emergency contacts.
3. The message lets them know you triggered an emergency alert and that they are listed as your emergency contact.
4. Your precise live location is shared with a Google Maps link. Location updates continue in real-time.

How does ARLEK work?

What if I accidentally pull the pin?
ARLEK has built-in safety delays to prevent accidental triggers.
When you pull the pin:
- The 130 dB alarm sounds immediately.
- Your phone only begins the Emergency SOS process after approximately 5 seconds.
- Your phone then starts its own countdown (usually 5–10 seconds). You can easily cancel the alert on your phone screen during this time if it was pulled by mistake.
Do I need an app or subscription?
No. ARLEK works directly with your phone’s built-in Emergency SOS feature. No app and no subscription are required.
Do I need to unlock my phone?
No. You don’t need to unlock your phone or take it out. ARLEK triggers the call and location share automatically (as long as your phone is within Bluetooth range).
How loud is the alarm?
The alarm reaches 130 dB — as loud as a jet engine from close range — to attract attention and deter danger.
Is ARLEK suitable for running?
Yes. It is specifically designed for solo runners and clips easily to a running vest or tucked into a running belt or pocket. It's lightweight and easy to carry.
Is it sweat and rain resistant?
Yes, it is splash/ sweat resistant. It should not be submerged or used while swimming.
How long does the battery last?
ARLEK is rechargeable via USB-C and lasts several weeks on normal use.
Will ARLEK work with my phone?
Yes — ARLEK works with virtually all modern iPhones (iOS 11 or newer) and most recent Android smartphones. It connects via Bluetooth to your phone’s built-in Emergency SOS feature. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled and Emergency SOS is turned on in your phone settings.

We offer 14-day easy returns. If you’re not completely satisfied, return it unused and in original packaging for a full refund.
